I simply adore good old classical hummus and can eat it with nearly anything and anytime. And it’s so simple to prepare so let’s go:
What you need:
- 250g precooked chickpeas
- 5-6 tb spoons of tahini sauce
- a few cloves of garlic
- fresh juice of 1-2 limes or lemons
- salt, olive oil
- dried red paprika to sprinkle on top is optional
How to make it:
Start with blending the chickpeas adding tahini, garlic, salt and lime juice. Basically add the quantities to taste. If you like it more runny and saucy like increase on tahini and lime or lemon juice. The recipe here is for a thicker spread like version of hummus. When all blended nice and well serve it on a plate, sprinkle with olive oil and some dried red paprika. You can also pack it in a glass jar and keep in the freezer up to five days. If you don’t eat it before 🙂
